Facilities of Hotel Jagua
The hotel was recently renovated in a sophisticated contemporary style. The hotel also has a pool and spacious pool-deck overhanging the bay. The lobby bar is a good spot to relax with more visually appealing than the overly air-conditioned pool bar, with its cold 1950s-retro look.
The Hotel Jagua has: buffet restaurant, à la carte restaurant, lobby bar, snack bar, swimming pool with children area, cabaret, art gallery, parking, excellent service and a sun paradises. Other pluses are two well-stocked gift stores, a pharmacy, small gym, and ample parking.
A cabaret is performed several times a week, followed by a club night that also attracts locals and is surely worth the $10 entrance fee.
From the nearby marina, boat trips to the bay of Jagua and the beach Playa Rancho Luna can be booked. Hiking trips are possible in the Sierra de Escambray.
